1. Introduction

Welcome to Stash Clicks ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information and data when you use our Service. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you understand how your data is handled.

By accessing or using our Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our practices, please do not use our Service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

Account Information

  • Email address (for account creation and communication)
  • Name (optional, for personalization)
  • Payment information (processed securely through our payment provider)

Google Search Console Data

  • Search performance data (clicks, impressions, CTR, position)
  • Query and page data for your connected properties
  • Country and device breakdown data
  • Historical data that you choose to store ("stash")

Usage Information

  • Log data (IP address, browser type, access times)
  • Feature usage and interaction data
  • Custom configurations, filters, and reports you create

3. Data Ownership

Your data belongs to you. We firmly believe that the Google Search Console data you connect to our Service remains your property at all times.

  • You retain full ownership of all data you import or store through our Service
  • We act solely as a data processor on your behalf
  • You may export your data at any time
  • You may request deletion of your data at any time
  • We will never sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for their marketing purposes

4. Data Storage and Security

We take the security of your data seriously and implement industry-standard measures to protect it:

  • All data is transmitted using TLS/SSL encryption (HTTPS)
  • Data at rest is encrypted using strong, industry-standard encryption mechanisms
  • Access to production systems is restricted and logged
  • We periodically review our security posture and address identified issues
  • OAuth 2.0 authentication for Google Search Console access
  • We never store your Google password - authentication is handled directly by Google

Our infrastructure is hosted on secure, enterprise-grade cloud services that comply with industry security standards.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data according to the following policies:

Active Accounts

While your account is active and in good standing, we retain all your stashed data indefinitely. This is the core value of our Service - preserving your historical Google Search Console data beyond the standard 16-month retention period.

Account Cancellation or Non-Payment

If you cancel your subscription or your payment fails:

  • We will maintain your stashed data for a grace period of 30 to 90 days
  • During this period, you may reactivate your account to restore full access
  • After the grace period, unless otherwise instructed, stashed data may be permanently deleted
  • Where possible, we may send reminder notifications before data deletion occurs

Account Deletion

If you request account deletion, we will remove all your personal data and stashed data within 30 days. Some anonymized, aggregated data may be retained for analytics purposes.

6. How We Use Your Data

We use your data solely to provide and improve our Service:

  • To store and display your Google Search Console data
  • To generate reports, charts, and analytics you request
  • To apply your custom filters, configurations, and taxonomies
  • To communicate important service updates and notifications
  • To provide customer support
  • To improve and optimize our Service based on usage patterns
  • To detect and prevent fraud or abuse

7. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate our platform:

  • Google OAuth: For authenticating access to your Google Search Console data
  • Payment Processor: For handling subscription payments securely
  • Cloud Infrastructure: For hosting and data storage
  • Error Tracking: For monitoring and improving service reliability

These services are bound by their own privacy policies and data protection agreements. We carefully select partners who maintain high security and privacy standards.

8. Cookies and Tracking

We use a minimal set of cookies that are strictly necessary for the Service to function, along with optional analytics cookies that only load with your consent. We do not use third-party advertising or behavioral tracking cookies, and we do not sell or share cookie data with any external advertising platforms.

Strictly Necessary Cookies

  • Authentication token: Keeps you securely logged in to your account. Without this cookie the Service cannot authenticate your requests.
  • Session state: Remembers transient UI state (such as the selected property or active date range) within your browser session so data is not re-fetched unnecessarily.

Functional Cookies

  • User preferences: Stores settings you have explicitly chosen, such as sidebar collapse state, theme, and notification acknowledgements, so your preferences persist between visits.

Analytics Cookies (optional, consent-based)

  • Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager): Helps us understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, general usage patterns) so we can improve it. These cookies are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner.
  • Analytics is loaded under Google Consent Mode with storage denied by default, so no analytics cookie is placed until you consent. You can decline, and you can change your mind by clearing cookies in your browser.

What We Do Not Do

  • We do not place advertising or retargeting cookies.
  • We do not use analytics cookies to track you across other websites.
  • We do not sell cookie data or share it with data brokers.

Because we load analytics only with your consent (via the cookie banner and Google Consent Mode), and all other cookies are strictly necessary or preference cookies you have explicitly chosen, we ask for your consent before any analytics cookie is set. Cookie consent requirements can vary based on applicable law; if you have questions about how this applies to you, please contact us.

You can clear or block cookies through your browser settings at any time. Blocking authentication cookies will prevent you from logging in to the Service.

9. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your data
  • Export: Export your data in a portable format
  • Restriction: Request restriction of processing in certain circumstances
  • Objection: Object to certain types of processing
  • Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information provided below.

10. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We may share your data only in the following circumstances:

  • With your consent: When you explicitly authorize us to share specific data
  • Service providers: With trusted partners who help us operate our Service (under strict confidentiality agreements)
  • Legal requirements: When required by law, legal process, or government request
  • Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (you will be notified)
  • Protection: To protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property, or that of our users

12. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not intended for children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately so we can delete it.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
